Coffee with my bestie, my number one ritual.

The best ritual? Coffee with your best friend—especially when it comes with a photo printed on the foam. If you’re around Bruges, try this new trend and see why tiny moments can mean so much.

This morning, I went out for breakfast with my best friend, who happens to be Turkish. We went to this cozy Turkish spot here in Bruges, one of my favorites—not only because the food is delicious, but because the people there are incredibly warm.

I love that Mexican and Turkish cultures have so many similarities. The more time my friend and I spend together, the more we notice them—and we love it. From the food, to the way people treat each other, to the warmth and generosity that feel like home.

While we were chatting away, the kind man who runs the place came over with a smile and said, “I have a surprise for you, come here.” He took a photo of us, and when he brought my coffee… there it was—our photo printed right on the foam. A small, sweet detail that made my whole morning.

Our Catch-Up Ritual

Every time I meet with my friend, it feels like a ritual. We catch up on life, laugh about the little things, and share the highs and lows. What makes it extra special is that we’re both at a stage where we’re building our own businesses.

That means our conversations are full of ideas, encouragement, and understanding. There’s a different kind of bond that comes from being around someone who truly gets what you’re going through—someone who supports you, celebrates your wins, and reminds you of your worth when things get tough.

Why This Matters to Me

At Chick Ritual, I often talk about beauty, skincare, and the products I love. But moments like this remind me that true beauty is also built from the inside out.

It’s in the coffee shared with a friend who feels like family.
It’s in the conversations that leave you feeling lighter.
It’s in the people who make you feel seen.

These are the rituals that recharge me, inspire me, and keep me grounded—not just as a person, but also as a creator and entrepreneur.

If you’re ever in Bruges…
Make sure to stop by [coffee place name] for a little taste of Turkish hospitality right here in Belgium. The food is delicious, the people are genuinely kind, and if you’re lucky… your coffee might just come with a surprise on top.

So here’s my reminder for you: Find those little rituals that make you feel alive—whether it’s coffee with a friend, a walk in your favorite part of the city, or cooking something that reminds you of home. They’re not just good for the soul… they show on your face, in your energy, and in the way you carry yourself.

What’s your favorite non-skincare ritual? I’d love to hear it.
